I am a doctoral candidate in the Modern Culture and Media department and Graduate fellow at Cogut Center for the Humanities at Brown University, where I'm also pursuing an A.M. in History. My work lies at the intersections of critical theory, postcolonial studies, global feminisms and contemporary visual and performance studies. My dissertation “Refusing Representation: Feminist Inactivism and Postcolonial Aesthetics," tracks the contemporary legacies of civil disobedience by queer/women artists and activists from South Asia.
